Creamy chicken and mushrooms
This is a super easy, delicious, and quick recipe.
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
4 chicken files, diced
200 grams button mushrooms, sliced
250 ml whipping cream
1/2 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, Gouda,..)
Spices: salt, pepper, cumin, chilly
Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a non-stick frying pan and add the diced chicken. Fry the chicken on all sides until well browned
Set the chicken aside on a plate and in the same pan add the onion and crushed garlic and fry for 2 minutes.
Add the mushrooms and fry until they get brownish
Return the chicken in the pan and add about 150 ml of water, cover and cook on medium to high. As soon as it boils, lower the temperature, add the spices and simmer on low for about 15 minutes.
When all the liquid has evaporated, stir in the whipping cream and 1/2 cup grated cheese and cook on medium (stir) until the sauce thickens.
You can serve this dish with cooked vegetables and enjoy ❤️
