Keto Crunchy Parmesan Baskets

Parmesan cheese is just perfect for low carb keto lifestyle.

This cheese is produced from cow milk but it contains just a small amount of lactose per serving so even if you are lactose intolerant, you can add Parmesan to your grocery list.

Parmesan baskets are one of many ways you can enjoy this super cheese on your keto diet. You can make these zero carb baskets by melting Parmesan in your oven or microwave but I prefer the non-stick pan because it's much quicker way to get these guilt free crunchy golden goodies.

I used tuna, crushed chili and mayonnaise for this recipe but you can fill your keto Parmesan baskets with almost anything or just enjoy them as perfect quick low carb crisps.

Keto crunchy Parmesan baskets with tuna and mayonnaise


Parmesan baskets (6 baskets):

  • 100 g Parmesan cheese, grated

  • 1 shot glass


  • 1 can of tuna in olive oil (I used Shines tuna in olive oil - check this link for a 20% discount on Shines Sea food)

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise

  • crushed chili


  • Heat a non-stick pan over medium to high

  • Sprinkle the grated Parmesan in a thin layer forming a circle. The circle should be a bit bigger than your shot glass bottom.

  • Cook for about a minute, until the cheese melts and becomes golden.

  • Carefully peel the cheese circle off the pan and quickly place it on the shot glass bottom (golden side up). Gently press the cheese around the glass to shape a basket and leave it to cool for about a minute. Repeat with the remaining cheese.

  • Fill with tuna and mayo and sprinkle with crushed chili
