Keto Calzone Pizza

It takes around 30 minutes to prepare this low carb calzone and it’s one of those meals that make you re-check the ingredients just to make sure that it’s really keto.

What can I say - it’s easy, quick, delicious and definitely keto



• 250 grams full fat grated mozzarella

• 1/4 tsp salt

• 7 tbsp almond flour

• 1 egg (beaten)


• 2 tbsp tomato paste/puree

• 3 tbsp water

• spices: 1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp oregano, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

• 6 slices of ham

• 1/2 cup grated cheese

• 3 small button mushrooms


• 1 tbsp sesame seeds for the topping

• butter to grease the baking pan


• on a plate, stir mozzarella with salt and almond flour and microwave it for 1:30 minutes

• stir in 1 beaten egg and mix until everything is combined

• with your hands stretch the dough in the circle shape, use the plate edges as a measure

• lift the dough of the plate to make sure it’s not sticking to it

• mix tomato paste with water and spices and spread it over the dough

• line with ham, cheese and mushrooms and form your calzone

• using a fork, press the edges of the calzone and top it with sesame seeds

• bake on 180°c for 15-20 minutes
