Keto cheese & ham sandwich
Ideal picnic basket edition, this low carb sandwich is good both warm and cold.
The prep time is a bit longer but definitely not complicated and it always turns out perfect and tasty!
Instead of cream cheese, I used creamy cheese triangles in this recipe because they are also perfect for low carb lifestyle. You can spread them, eat them individually, cook with them - so many yummy options.
250 grams full fat grated mozzarella
2 cups almond flour
1 creamy cheese triangle
1 egg (beaten)
2 creamy cheese triangles
10 slices of cooked ham
10 slices of cheddar or some other low carb cheese
microwave mozzarella and cheese triangle for about 1:30 minutes
stir in 1 beaten egg and almond flour and kneed until you get everything combined
place the dough between 2 sheets of baking paper and roll it into a thin rectangle
spread 2 cheese triangles over the dough and cover it with ham and cheese
pick up the longer side of the dough and roll it like a roulade, close the edges
place it on a baking paper and bake in the preheated oven at 180°c for about 15-20 minutes, until it gets a nice golden color
You can top it with some seeds or just add some grated cheese on top 5 minutes before it's finished.
