Keto coconut prawns
If you are looking for a healthy comfort food recipe, this is definitely it! King prawns coated in coconut and deep fried in coconut oil.
Prep time for this one is about 5 - 10 minutes and frying them takes about 2-3 minutes per batch.
500 grams prawns (fresh or unfrozen)
1 cup coconut flour/ shredded coconut
Spices: salt, pepper
Oil for frying (coconut or any other healthy fat)
Whisk the eggs with spices in one bowl and prepare the coconut flour in another bowl
Heat the oil in a non stick frying pan, on medium. You will need enough oil to cover the prawns
Dip the prawns in eggs and then in coconut and fry them in batches for about 2-3 minutes on medium, until they are golden on both sides
Serve with your favorite dip and enjoy ❤️
Water droplets can cause the hot oil to splatter. To prevent the oil from splattering, make sure you completely defrost and dry the prawns with paper towel before coating/frying them
Fry the prawns in batches, making sure they have some space in between while frying
