Sauerkraut (fermented cabbage) & pork stew 👌

Keto, healthy, perfect for cold days and ooooh sooo yummy...


Ingredients:


• 2 tbsp butter or lard

• 500 grams diced pork (small cubes)

• 500 grams sauerkraut, finely cut

• 100 grams smoked bacon, diced

• 1 medium size onion

• 2 garlic cloves

• spices: 2 tbsp paprika, 1 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1 bay leaf, 1/2 tsp thyme (salt at the end)

• 100 ml tomato sauce

• some water

Preparation:

• On 2 tbsp butter, saute chopped onions, bacon and garlic cloves for about 2 minutes

• add the diced pork and fry until brown on all sides

• add the sauerkraut and spices and saute for a few more minutes until combined, stir it occasionally

• add tomato and water and cook on low until the meat is cooked and sauerkraut is soft

* before you salt everything, taste it because sauerkraut is sometimes salty enough


This meal can be served as is or with some sour cream, or cauliflower puree
