Stuffed big burger

Baked, juicy and filled with cheese, bacon bits and hot chili peppers 😋

Ingredients:

  • 500 g minced meat (I used beef)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped

  • 100 ml of water

  • Seasoning: 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp pepper, 1 tsp hot chili powder

  • Few slices of cheddar 

  • Grated mozzarella

  • Diced smoked bacon

  • Diced hot chili pepper, jalapeno or bell pepper

Preparation:

  • On a stove, medium flame, heat 2 tbsp olive oil and fry the onions until translucent. Add the garlic and fry for 1-2 minutes. Add 100 ml of water and boil everything for about 3 minutes.

  • Put the raw minced meat in a big bowl, stir in the seasoning and then pour in the water with onions and garlic. Leave the meat to rest for at least 10 minutes.

  • Prepare 3 pieces of parchment paper. Place one half of the meat mixture on 1 piece of parchment paper, cover it with another paper and press with your hands or a heavy pan to form a thin patty. 

  • Set the patty aside with the bottom parchment paper and repeat the step with the other 1/2 of the meat. 

  • Cover one patty with cheese (cheddar, mozzarella), diced bacon and diced fresh peppers. Once toped, cover with the other patty and close the ends well. 

  • Place the burger, with the bottom parchment paper, in the baking tin and bake on 180°c for about 30-35 minutes, you can optionaly turn it after 15 minutes.
